I picked up the Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation* in the hopes that it would be the perfect natural every day foundation and although it does do a good job, it's not the perfect one for me unfortunately. I don't usually do reviews of products that I don't absolutely love but I thought I'd make an exception for this one. Don't get me wrong I do like this foundation, but I'm just not in love with it. I thought I'd write up a post though because when I was looking for reviews on this I couldn't find many and I'd like to add another one to the Google search to try and help others if I can.
Ere Perez is an Australian owned company whose aim is to produce natural, healthy make up. They only use carefully selected, premium quality ingredients blended with antioxidants to create gentle, but highly effective natural make up products. Their products are free from parabens, parrafin, talc, petroleum, synthetic fragrances and mineral oil along with several other harsh chemicals and are instead loaded with vitamins and organic oils to nourish the skin.
The Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation is a gentle, non-greasy formula made from natural oats to create a nourishing consistency. It's great for sensitive skin and problem skin as it doesn't add impurities to your pores. The natural ingredients work to soothe the skin and allow it to breathe.
First of all the colour is a great match for me. Unfortunately the shade range is a bit rubbish, with only 3 options but luckily one of the options matches me perfectly. The coverage is really good - it claims medium coverage but I'd say that it's more of a medium to high coverage. I find that I don't really need any concealer when I wear this as it gives enough coverage to completely cover any blemishes that I have. I also find that it's a great base to add other products to - whenever I add blusher and bronzer to my face (I use a powder form of both) they stick to this like glue and last all day without any top ups.
The main thing that I found didn't work for me with this was that it's dries out a lot. A foundation that dries out can be a good thing because it often means that it won't move all day but this one dries down so much that it clings to any sort of dry patch. It also means that you have to move fast to get this on before it dries, as I've found that it can leave brush marks on your face where it's dried. Not an attractive look. I find that the best way to use this is to use a really good, thick moisturiser beforehand and then use a fluffy brush to apply, as anything too dense will show brush marks. I would say this is definitely more suited to greasy skin.
Apart from that it's a really good foundation. Once it does dry it doesn't move all day and you can touch your face without it transferring or smudging at all, which is amazing. It lasts a full work day on me and still looks exactly the same as when I applied it in the morning. I think once you get the application correct it is a great foundation, but it's not one to reach for when you're in a rush as it needs that extra time to apply it evenly. You can pick this up from Love Lula for £24.00.
